For a while I was running three blogs alongside each other: this one, Silicon Hutong, and two others - Peking Review and EcoHutong.
I started Peking Review with the idea that it would be a better place to chronicle my love of books, and movies, and to pick sites out on the web that would appeal to eclectic tastes.
But after a while, it became clear that much of what I read - if not all of it - was germane to what I was writing on Silicon Hutong.
For that reason, the Peking Review now forms a part of Silicon Hutong, as you can see from the blog's subhead. I've pulled nearly all of the posts from Peking Review into Silicon Hutong, scattered around and usually marked as "cross-post" entries.
I'm hanging onto the name: at some point I have a feeling the Peking Review will be revived as something larger, but that is well into the future. In the meantime, the category serves as a repository for entries when I play the role of "reviewer at large."
New book reviews, movie reviews, and the like are all covered under their own categories.
