i.e. Neocha?

David

Neocha is a cool beginning, but I see it as the hothouse nurturing the seeds of a revolution - not the revolution itself.

But when the boom happens, Neocha is nicely positioned to own a large chunk of it - assuming it continues to grow.

Thanks for shout-out Patrick and great background on this subject David.

I 100% agree that China needs more Ed Peto's -- he is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate people who are pushing the music scene beyond its pop borders.

Over the past year and a half after launching Neocha, one thing I've learned is that developing the long tail of music and 'independent' youth culture in China takes patience and obstacles abound. Our little team's motto is to just to try and 坚持. I see signs of inspiration everyday, but when it will really take off and achieve significant scale is a question I have stopped trying to answer. With more people like Ed Peto, 颜峻, Archie Hamilton, 杨磊, etc. around, it will certainly be sooner rather than later.
